Darryl was one of North South Travel’s original employees, and joined Darcy Hibberd, President, at the first location on Granville Island in 1983 as Corporate Sales Manager, following employment with XEROX Canada. Within 2 years Darryl had launched his own travel company in Saskatchewan focused on group movement to entertainment events such as Elton John, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Dire Straits, Bruce Springsteen, and the Rolling Stones. His company grew into the only official EXPO 86 agency for the entire province of Saskatchewan and during the summer of 1986 his firm transported over 2000 Saskatchewan residents to British Columbia by charter jet and coach, VIA rail, and scheduled air service. In 1988 Darryl left the travel industry and returned to the corporate world in various sales management roles with companies such as Laidlaw Environmental and BC Research Corporation. Darryl continued to travel the world as he had since the mid 1970’s and has visited over 80 countries to date, many of them numerous times. His in depth knowledge of the globe and the many growing markets, places Darryl in an ideal position to service individuals looking for something new and groups of individuals interested in planning a tailor made travel program to the many countries Darryl knows well. Darryl is a member of the Vancouver Gay and Lesbian Business Association and various other business associations in the Vancouver and Palm Springs area.
